Abstract: Ecosystem service links the natural ecosystems and socioeconomic systems, and it is a hot topic in ecology, geography and other disciplines. The cultivated land ecosystem is closely related to the national food security, therefore,to quantify the ecosystem service value of cultivated land and analyze its relationship with regional economic development have great significance. This study uses an improved equivalent factor of cultivated land to quantify the ecosystem service value of cultivated land in Gansu Province,China,in 2014,and uses the method of spatial autocorrelation to explore the spatial relationship between the cultivated land ecosystem service value and regional economic development at the county scale. The results showed at follows:(1) As a supply land of the major food, the ecosystem service value of cultivated land of Gansu Province was 4.96×1011 yuan in 2014,and its food production function is relatively high, and the relatively backward economy has basically resulted in its relatively low aesthetic landscape function. (2) The univariate spatial autocorrelation indicated a significant positive correlation in space between its per capita GDP and the ecosystem service value of cultivated land in the areas with good regional economic development. The bivariate spatial autocorrelation indicated a significant negative correlation in space between its per capita GDP and the ecosystem service value of cultivated land. And the Moran'sI index is 0.510 6 and 0.604 1 respectively. The global Moran's I index is -0.252 3.The local bivariate spatial autocorrelation LISA map also shows that the Low-High areas were mainly distributed in the southeastern area where the economic development is relatively backward and there is obvious ecological advantages;however, the High-Low areas were basically the opposite. This research can provide decision-making reference for ecological environment management and protection and regional economic development of Gansu Province, and can also provide reference for the coordinated development of economic growth and ecological protection.

Key words: ecosystem service value (ESV), regional economic development, bivariate spatial autocorrelation, Gansu Province
