Submission Guideline

1. Scope of Submissions

Arid Land Geography founded in 1978, is comprehensive academic journal superintended by Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly sponsored by Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Geographical Society of China, and published by Science Press. The main academic contents of Arid Land Geography include the new theories, technologies, methods and achievements in geography of the arid region, particularly in the fields of physical geography, human geography, regional geography, natural resource exploitation and utilization, environment evolution, disaster prevention and control meteorology and climatology in arid area.

2. Submission Instructions

Before submission, please strictly check the overall format of the final manuscript one by one, and confirm that the format of the latest publication of our journal is exactly the same before submission. For submissions that do not conform to the format of Arid Land Geography, the journal can do rejection processing!

(1) Manuscript format requirements: manuscript content, title structure, map specifications, reference specifications, etc., please strictly refer to the “Paper Writing Requirements”, “Paper Template”, “Paper Map Specifications” and “Paper Reference Specifications” in the “Download Center” one by one!!

(2) Submission methods: This journal is open for online submission at http://alg.xjegi.com. There is no other website for submission, please pay attention to. In principle, Arid Land Geography does not accept any form of submission outside the above submission system.

(3) Submission process: Click the menu of “Author Submission and Review” in the column of “Editing System” on the official website of Arid Land Geography for online submission! Please fill in the information required and activate the account (be sure to fill in the telephone number of the author), and follow the steps to submit. At the time of submission, the author must upload the signed and sealed “Copyright Transfer Agreement”, “Conflict of Interest Statement”, and “Author Contribution Statement”, in the system at the same time. For the successful submission, authors will receive the receipt email.

(4) Arid Land Geography refuses to “Duplicate Submission”, the author decides to withdraw the manuscript in the process of preliminary review, revision, acceptance, etc., and should explain the situation to the editorial department by email or phone in time to avoid repeated publication.

(5) In the process of manuscript withdrawal, if the manuscript exceeds the scheduled revision date, the author should explain the reason to the editorial department by email or phone, and apply for a delay in the revision. Without any explanation, the editorial department has the right to reject the manuscript if it has not been revised for more than 60 days.

(6) After the manuscript is published, the author will be paid a fee per article and will be given a copy of the current issue of the journal.

3. Charging Standards

(1) Manuscript Processing Fee (Review Fee): 200 yuan/article. Before the initial review of the manuscript is completed and sent for peer review, the author will be notified by email to pay the review fee.

(2) Publication Fee (Page Fee): 400 yuan/page. For articles requiring color illustrations or photos, an additional 600 yuan will be charged per page for color illustration production and color printing.

Note: The electronic invoice of manuscript review fee and Publication fee will be issued about half a month after receipt. The information in the fee column of the submission system will be uniformly changed to “submitted” after the editor issues the invoice, which will not affect the manuscript processing process.

4. Other Information

        In accordance with the relevant provisions of the “Copyright Law”, this journal may edit the manuscripts. For substantial content revisions, the author's consent will be obtained. The author is responsible for the content of the manuscript and is responsible for carefully verifying and verifying the entire content of the article to ensure that the content of the article is correct and does not involve any leakage of secrets. Once any relevant problems are found, the author shall be responsible.
