Abstract: With the all-round promotion of the Silk Road Economic Belt, the economic and trade cooperation between China and member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) faces a new opportunity for development.Based on the United Nations Trade Database, the article uses relevant models to conduct an in-depth analysis of the trade cooperation between China and SCO member countries from 2002-2015.The study finds that bilateral trade shows strong and complementary characteristics of interindustry trade and great potential for trade cooperation. In the future, both sides can make improvements and innovations in technology and system so as to push the two sides to develop higher level intra-industry trade. In the future, we can consider giving appropriate time to promote the establishment of a free trade zone between the two sides, eliminate restrictions on trade in goods and market access restrictions in the service sector, and promote the free flow of production elements between the two sides so as to complement each other's advantages and further promote the better development of all countries. In the future, we should rely on the top-level design to achieve a link between the SCO and the Silk Road Economic Belt, encourage enterprises to invest directly in member states of the SCO, enhance cooperation in energy trade and broaden non-resource cooperation and accelerate the interconnection of transport infrastructure Exchange and build up mutual cooperation in bilateral and multilateral security so as to achieve mutual benefits and win-win for both sides.
