Abstract: The evaluation index system of agribusiness is the foundation to judge its development level. According to the agriculture industrialization of research, the domestic scholars study the evaluation of the research mainly from many angles of agricultural industrialization, and have formed the industrialization of agriculture development evaluation index system of basic research framework, but the index system and the research method still need to improve, the main problem is that the industrialization of agriculture development evaluation index system lacks scientific basis and the index system is comparatively broad. Based on the thorough study of the industrialization of agriculture connotation, characteristics and operation mechanism, the paper grasp the basis of agricultural industrialization “production and sales” linkage development, from the essence of agricultural production, agricultural product processing, agricultural product sales and benefit coupling condition four aspects of the corps. From the point of the essence of agribusiness, an evaluation index system of agribusiness was established in this paper. By using factor analysis the development level of agribusiness in Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps(XPCC) was measured, the results show that, the development level of agribusiness was improving during 2005-2009, from negative 0.86 in 2005 to 0.69 in 2009. But the analysis of the factor of the agribusiness implied the index which reflected the planting scale had slight relation with the development of agribusiness, which indicated the development of agribusiness in XPCC was closely related with the factors expected planting scale. Otherwise, the coefficient of the interest combination was below zero, which showed the present interest combination mechanism was against the development of agribusiness. Based on the conclusion, some suggestions are given to promote further development of the agribusiness in XPCC. We should strengthen the base construction, establish new benefit coupling mechanism and cultivate leading enterprise.
