Abstract: This paper analyses the major fecture of climatic change in Xinjiang based on 40-ycar meoteorological data (1950-1990). The following conclusions are obstained:(1)Warm winter is a main fact of climatic changes for recent 10 years (1980-1990),and it shows the rising of annual mean temperature, decreasing of cold-wave weather, thinner maxinum frozen earth depth, and more abnormal weather related to warm winters. (2)The temperature in summer is decreasing a little. (3)Precipitation in all of Xinjiang is increasing. The precipitation is close to that of in 1950's. (4)The typical Eurasion circulation model during the warm winters in Xinjiang is due to stronger Atlantic coast wedge, deeper Eurcap trough and strong Xinjiang wedge.
