Abstract: Altai gold-placers are very famous for their high grade and wide distribution. But few people have investigated the material origin of gold-placers systematically. The study of geo-logical history of the Altai Mountain and geological feature and forming mechanism of gold-placers shows that Altai gold-placers have four original resources. That is, the poor gold-containing mineralized belts, the gold-deposits, the gold-containing metallic ores and the goldbearing rocks.
