Abstract: This paper is intended to discuss the land types and land economic uses in the Southwestern Zunggar. Above all, the characteristic of the essential factors which affect land resources, including landform, hydrology, soil and plant, are analysed and the impact of human activities are considered. Second, according to some principles of classifting Land types, hierarchical scheme for land classification in this region is made. Finally, most of the land types are evaluated.
