Abstract: This Paper carries out a study to the industrial development in Urumuqi.On basis of analysis on the present characteristics of industry in Urumuqi and its problems, the paper proposes that further development of industry should take aim at economical efficiency, formulate and carry out rational industrial policies, and perfect its industrial structure and local allocation.
